Write from the Heart - A Weekend Retreat with Anam Cara Writing Journeys

Write from the Heart

A Weekend Retreat with Anam Cara Writing Journeys

Te Wahi Ora Piha, Auckland
Saturday 16th April & Sunday 17th April 2011

This well loved Retreat offers a treasure trove of resources in the form of guided writing prompts, ways to mine your journal for ‘memory sparkers’ and creative processes that will lead you into the memoir writing process. The focus of the retreat will be on learning how to take life stories and craft them into memoir.
Whether you are just beginning your writing journey or already on the path, you’ll leave the workshop with a glorious collection of poetry, a tool kit of writing activities, ways to create a framework for writing your life story and a deeper awareness of the larger issues at play that guide your story in a subliminal way.

Venue Te Wahi Ora is a beach-side retreat for women in Piha. The view is inspiring, the food delicious and walks on the beach are restorative. After dinner, linger and relax with a glass of wine, share ideas, read, listen to music, or take a moonlight walk by the ocean.
